The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department is a nonprofit organization that provides fire suppression and emergency medical services to the Waldorf area and provides mutual aid to surrounding areas in Charles county including Calvert, St. Mary's and PG County.

The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department is looking for dedicated individuals to join our ranks. We have three stations that offer Fire and/or EMS services. No experience? No problem, through the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue program offer free fire and EMS training. We are looking for people from a wide age range and backgrounds. If you ever thought about becoming a firefighter, an EMT, or just helping in the community, now is your chance to make it happen. WVFD's Mission
As first responders to fires, public safety and medical emergencies, disasters and terrorist acts, the WVFD protects the lives and property of Waldorf and the surrounding communities. The department advances public safety through its fire prevention, investigation and education programs. The timely delivery of these services enables the Waldorf VFD to make significant contributions to the safety of Waldorf and surrounding communities, as well as, to homeland security efforts.
