Full Job Description:

Heritage Signs & Displays, a local veteran-owned printer and installer of custom signs serving Washington, DC and Southern Maryland, is seeking an entry-level installer of custom-mounted signs and adhesive vinyl graphics to join our team! This job is for individuals seeking to print and install signs and graphics in a variety of commercial, retail, event, and venue environments within a 40-mile radius of Washington, DC. The ideal candidate for this position is an individual with a positive attitude, a commitment to quality, and a willingness to work hard in a team-based atmosphere at a growing company.

Responsibilities:

  • Install custom vinyl graphics and a wide variety of custom signs and displays at locations in the Washington, DC area and the surrounding metro area within a 90 minute drive.
  • Work directly with the project coordinator and production team to inventory and ensure that the provided materials will allow for a successful installation at the client’s location on or before the due date or time requested by the client.
  • Effectively communicate with the client or site manager to ensure that the installation was successfully accomplished.
  • Take pictures and videos of pre-installation and post-installation of signs and graphics before concluding assignments.
  • Practice good housekeeping skills at the conclusion of each installation.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and keep provided company transportation in excellent condition.
  • Use software tools to schedule new jobs, communicate successful completion of installations and site surveys, and assign deliveries.
  • Send completed recap sheets after every installation with accurate information and times.

Qualifications:

  • 3M, Oracal, and/or Avery install certifications would be helpful for a successful candidate for this position.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a wide format installer of vinyl graphics and custom mounted signs and displays recommended.
  • Experience in wide-format print production and fabrication is recommended.
  • Outstanding driving record required; all installs will require driving of a company-supplied vehicle to job sites within a two-hour radius of Washington, DC.
  • Having a good understanding of driving in and around the Washington, DC area is recommended.
  • Be able to use wet and dry applications as well as heat and contour vinyl graphics on vehicles, as well as a variety of smooth and uneven surfaces of varying composition.
  • Have experience working with power tools to drill and anchor to interior and exterior concrete and drywall surfaces.
  • Comfortable using ladders and/or lifts, as appropriate, for installs above shoulder heights.
  • Be able to work well independently as well as directly with small and large installation teams as necessary.
  • Communicate well and know the value of teamwork.
  • Read a tape measure and do simple calculations to accurately install signage.
